BREWERY

43040 Rancho Way, Temecula, CA 92590

The brewery is currently set up to brew 10bbl (310 gallons) of beer at a time. It may seem like a lot of beer (and it is!), but brewing on this relatively small scale allows us to maintain quality at a finite level that would be increasingly difficult on a larger system. However, our five fermentors, with a capacity totaling 80bbl, allows us to maintain a variety of beers on tap all year long.

The tasting room is situated right in the middle of the brewery and allows people to experience beer and what goes into producing it. Often times patrons of the tasting room get a front row seat to the actual brewing process as our brewers are working!

Address

Temecula Valley has long been known as home to some of the best Wineries in California. Often referred to as the Wine Country of Southern California, Temecula's number of family owned wineries is not rivaled anywhere else in southern California.

Now in 2013 growth in Micro Breweries has been tremendous. But better then the sheer growth of the market has been the collection of great beer coming out of the valley. Each brewery has been developing their own unique style, building a culture in the community as they grow. So again, like Temecula has been to the wineries, Temecula is quickly becoming a brewing town. This community of breweries is as dense as anywhere else in California, making it the perfect place for a little brewery hopping.

Tucked away into the western hills of Temecula, just a mile or two from old town, Refuge is a unique brewery that adds to the ever developing brewery culture of the Temecula Valley. We built the tasting room in the middle of the brewery operations.

Here at Refuge we specialize in brewing handcrafted ales in the traditional Belgian style. The Refugee Tripel is a great showcase of Belgian brewing techniques in a balanced strong ale. The Illusion IPA blurs the line between a California IPA and a Belgain Ale. Although we specialize in Belgians, we don't let that limit our creativity.  Apart from the Belgian style ales, you can find a variety of other beers including porters, brown ales, and hefeweizens on rotation all year long!
